System X were born out of the free underground party scene in the Cambridgeshire area over in 1997, with the help and support of London based brothers Marcus and Mel Williams. Sharon (Witchdoctor) is the first and longest resident dj. Henry (Mr X) although being the founder member, did not take to the decks until two years later. Mark Brill joined System X in Jan 97. Paul came on board earlier in April 2000. The four resident dj's who play a wide selection of dance music have kept people dancing at The Junction, Cambridge Corn Exchange, Chilford Hall, Q Club, Devonshire Arms, Man on the Moon, Locomotive, Noteworthy Studios, Ixworth Abbey, Riverboat Georgina and many other party venues in and around the county. The free parties have helped many excellent dj's get the exposure they needed to help them along eg: Dj Mai, Patrick (Good Times). System X have links with other local sound systems: Beats Working, Badsneakers, Loona System, DNA.
